Fedora 18 released



Finally fedora out now,  Red Hat's community Linux distribution, Fedora 18 is finally available to download.



Fedora 18 named as Spherical Cow.

This time it has came with a new installer named Anoconda.
It's designed to make installing Fedora in a much smoother way and faster then previous releases.
Fedora states,"The previous installer had an aging (around 13 years old) infrastructure that was difficult and time-consuming to maintain and improve, constraining new feature development."

Fedora still has GNOME it's default desktop environment, with Gnome 3.6.

Requirements for installing fedora:

  •  64-bit PC
  • 1GB RAM
  • 10GB disk space
