Hbase 1.0.1 Installation on Hadoop 2.7.0 Single Node Cluster


Download a latest stable version of Hbase http://apache.claz.org/hbase/

sudo tar -zxvf hbase-1.0.1-bin.tar.gz

sudo mv hbase-1.0.1-bin /usr/local/hbase

sudo nano ~/.bashrc

export HBASE_HOME=/usr/local/hbase
export HBASE_CONF_DIR=$HBASE_HOME/conf
export HBASE_CLASS_PATH=$HBASE_CONF_DIR
export PATH=$HBASE_HOME/bin:$PATH

source ~/.bashrc

hbase version
